About NOLA VIP CRUISES
Our cruise experiences came from a dream of combining two of our favorite places… the Big Easy and cruise ships!
Working with Norwegian Cruise Lines, The New Orleans tourism board and the New Orleans Saints we’ve been able to put together amazing packages to add a little of that NOLA flair to your cruise vacations at no extra cost to you and we are truly excited about it.
The New Orleans cruise port, known as the Port of New Orleans or Port NOLA, offers a unique experience for cruisers, blending the city’s rich history and vibrant culture with modern port amenities. Located along the Mississippi River, the port is conveniently near the French Quarter, giving cruisers easy access to explore famous attractions, such as Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, and the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral. Two main terminals, the Julia Street Cruise Terminal and the Erato Street Cruise Terminal, serve major cruise lines including Carnival, Norwegian, and Disney. Each terminal is equipped with facilities to handle large volumes of passengers and provides parking options, though spots fill quickly during peak travel times. For cruisers flying into New Orleans, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is about 16 miles away, making it easy to transfer between the airport and the port. One of the most charming aspects of cruising from New Orleans is that you can experience a bit of the city’s culture even as you depart. The journey down the Mississippi River takes around 8-10 hours before the ship reaches the Gulf of Mexico, offering scenic views of Louisiana’s landscapes and coastal areas.
